Community Service Projects

Each weekday morning, participants dedicate their time and energy to one meaningful service project for the duration of their stay in La Fortuna. Options include:

  • Volunteering at a preschool, engaging with young children and assisting local teachers.
  • Helping at a wildlife rescue center, providing care and support for injured and orphaned animals.
  • Contributing to a sustainability project, working on environmental conservation efforts.
  • Caring for rescue dogs, providing love and assistance at a local dog sanctuary.

By sticking with the same project throughout the program, participants develop strong connections with the community and see the direct impact of their efforts, making the experience even more meaningful.

Afternoon and Evening Activities

After a rewarding morning of community service, the afternoons are all about adventure! Costa Rica’s incredible natural surroundings set the stage for thrilling activities and unforgettable experiences. Some of the exciting excursions include:

  • Waterfall Canyoning – Rappel down jungle waterfalls for the ultimate adrenaline rush!
  • Arenal Hanging Bridges – Walk across suspension bridges high above the rainforest canopy.
  • Whitewater Rafting – Paddle through exciting rapids on the Arenal River.
  • La Fortuna Waterfall – Hike through the rainforest to a stunning 200-foot waterfall.
  • Hot Springs Relaxation – Unwind in La Fortuna’s famous natural mineral hot springs.
  • Costa Rican Cooking Class – Learn to prepare authentic local dishes with expert chefs.
  • Nighttime Fun – From dance parties and game nights to bonfires and karaoke, every evening is a chance to bond, laugh, and create lifelong memories.
