Group Size
The Project Ecuador program welcomes up to 26 participants, creating the perfect balance between a close-knit community and dynamic social interactions. This ideal group size allows for strong friendships to form naturally, while ensuring that everyone feels included during volunteer projects, cultural experiences, and thrilling adventures throughout Ecuador.
Accommodations
Throughout the Project Ecuador program, our participants stay in safe, secure, and carefully selected hotels and lodges, each chosen to reflect the unique character of the regions we explore. Whether in the heart of historic Quito, deep in the Amazon Jungle, or along the breathtaking shores of the Galápagos Islands, our accommodations provide a comfortable and welcoming retreat after each day’s adventures. With essential amenities and cozy spaces to recharge, every stay ensures a restful night’s sleep, so participants are energized for volunteering, cultural immersion, and unforgettable experiences ahead.
Meals
Delicious Meals & Local Flavors Throughout Ecuador

In Quito, we start each day with a full breakfast buffet at the JW Marriott, while lunch and dinner are enjoyed at a variety of local restaurants, offering a taste of Ecuador’s diverse cuisine.

In the Amazon, meals are freshly prepared at our jungle lodge, with options to sample local flavors or enjoy familiar favorites.

In the Galápagos Islands, we share family-style breakfasts and dinners at our hotel, while lunches are served during daily excursions, allowing us to dine amid breathtaking scenery.

Wherever we go, delicious and nutritious options are available for all dietary needs, ensuring every participant enjoys great meals while immersing themselves in Ecuadorian culture!

Staff
Dedicated & Experienced Staff

Our passionate and highly trained staff are experienced teachers and graduate students who are committed to Project Ecuador’s mission of service, cultural exploration, and personal growth. At every service site, Rein staff are present to provide guidance and support, ensuring a meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.

All staff members complete professional training workshops, with a strong emphasis on safety, leadership, and the well-being of our teenagers. Additionally, our program leaders are certified in Basic First Aid and CPR, and each service site is staffed with local bilingual volunteer coordinators who provide expert insight into the communities we serve. With a team dedicated to safety, education, and hands-on engagement, our participants are in excellent hands every step of the way.

Transportation
Safe & Reliable Transportation

Throughout Project Ecuador, we ensure safe, comfortable, and efficient transportation for all participants. In Quito and the Amazon, we travel in professionally driven buses and vans, providing a smooth ride to our service projects and activities.

For our journey to the Galapagos Islands, participants fly on regularly scheduled, full-size jet planes, ensuring a seamless transition from mainland Ecuador to this breathtaking destination. Once in the Galapagos, we explore the islands aboard professionally captained charter boats, giving us an up-close experience of the region’s stunning landscapes and incredible wildlife. Every mode of transportation is carefully chosen to prioritize safety, comfort, and an unforgettable travel experience.

Communication
24/7 Support & Connectivity

The Rein Communication Center operates 24/7 throughout the program, ensuring constant support and assistance whenever needed. While exploring Ecuador, participants are welcome to bring their cell phones, allowing them to stay in touch with family and friends when service is available. Our staff is always on hand to facilitate communication and provide any necessary updates, giving parents peace of mind while their teens immerse themselves in this incredible experience.
