Eastern Europe Adventure

Our 20-day tour begins as we travel together to the fairytale city of Prague, Czech Republic.  Get your cameras ready as we explore the enchanting Prague Castle, walk across the famous Charles Bridge, participate in an awesome Graffiti Workshop, and explore the historical Jewish Quarter.  Next, we head to Krakow, the former royal capital of Poland. Marvel at the beautiful Town Square from your Horse Drawn Carriage. Get ready for a somber, emotional, and thought-provoking day as we take a guided tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest of the WWII concentration camps.

Our next stop is Vienna, the magnificent Imperial City of Austria. Enjoy a fun-filled evening at Prater Amusement Park, take in the sites at the royal Schoenbrunn Palace, and learn the art of cooking at our private Viennese Cooking Class. Next up – bustling Budapest. We’ll enjoy a thrilling Monsteroller Tour, go Caving Under Budapest, and tour the amazing Castle District and energetic Jewish Quarter. Our journey continues to the awe-inspiring alpine beauty of the outdoor capital of Lake Bled, Slovenia. After a visit to the imposing Bled Castle, the adrenaline will be pumping as you tackle a thrilling Canyoning Adventure, an exhilarating Alpine Coaster, and the fun-filled Dolinka Zip-line.

The excitement builds as we head to one of the most popular destinations in the world, Croatia! After a stop in Zagreb, it is on to one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, Plitvice Lakes National Park. We’ll hike over the boardwalks as we take in the amazing views of gurgling streams, teeming waterfalls, and unspoiled nature. Next up is the Dalmatian Coast and the charming seaside city of Split. Wander the ancient alleyways of Diocletian’s Palace, get soaked during our Cetina Canyon Whitewater Raft Adventure, and enjoy the street musicians along the Split Waterfront. Our final stop is the famous Walled City of Dubrovnik. You’ll feel like a jetsetter during a day of Island Hopping off the Croatian Coast, take in the views during a sea kayaking adventure in the emerald, blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, and walk the City Walls surrounding the ancient Old Town.

We’ll enjoy our farewell dinner as we reminisce with our new friends about our amazing summer exploring Eastern Europe.

Mini Tours

Rein Mini Tours allow travelers to tour weekdays and spend the weekend at home. You can choose from 2, 3 or 5 weeks of adventure. The perfect summer for students in the New York/New Jersey Metro area and the Philadelphia/Cherry Hill area completing 6th, 7th and 8th grades!

Series 2 Itineraries

Rein Teen Tours offers our Mini Teen Tour Program as a great introduction to the world of Summer Teen Tour Travel! Teenagers completing 6th, 7th and 8th grades from the New York/New Jersey Metro Area and the Philadelphia/Cherry Hill Area can arrange two, three, or five week teen tours, traveling Monday through Friday while spending the weekends at home. Mini Teen Tour Travelers can experience the excitement of great US cities, the natural beauty of the East Coast, and enjoy the action of our carefully selected destinations.

ACCOMMODATIONS

On all tours, you’ll stay in fantastic hotels and resorts. Enjoy the LUXURY of Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Doubletree Suites, Great Wolf Lodge and more. All hotels are centrally located and feature private baths, individual beds, swimming pools, and many have special indoor and outdoor facilities. Sleep in the comfort of your own bed every night!

Group Size
The Project Hawaii summer community service program accommodates 20-25 participants, which fosters expanded social interactions and friendships within the group during evening activities and weekend excursions. Depending on the specific site, each service project will consist of 10-20 participants. This enables our teenagers to benefit from small group and one-on-one interaction at the service project.
Accommodations
During the week, the Doubletree Grand Naniloa Hotel is our home away from home. Enjoy the beautiful banyan tree grounds and the relaxing bay-front views of our hotel, the nearby zen pathways at Liliuokalani Japanese Gardens, and views of Mauna Kea standing in the distance. All rooms are doubles and have private bathrooms, air-conditioning and flat screen tvs with cable-television. Our participants enjoy hotel amenities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, full service restaurant, free wifi, gift shop and more.

During the week, our group eats breakfast and dinner together at our hotel. Lunch is provided at the various service projects.

After volunteering each day, we will enjoy many different late afternoon options. Some late afternoons will include relaxing at the hotel pool, exercising at the hotel gym, walking or running along the trails of Liliuokalani Gardens, or using the hotel wifi to catch up with family and friends. Other late afternoons will include field trips to exciting local sites such as: Volcanoes National Park, the local Farmers Market, hikes in the rainforest to see beautiful waterfalls, etc. Every evening, enjoy various group activities, including authentic Hawaiian Cultural Activities, nights at the movies, etc.

Meals
During the week, our group eats breakfast and dinner together at our hotel’s restaurant. Lunch is provided at the various service projects. While traveling on weekends, breakfast and dinner are provided in various local restaurants and food establishments at our hotels. On occasion we divide into smaller groups allowing teenagers to choose from a greater variety of restaurants.
Staff
Our summer community staff members are teachers and graduate students who are committed to Project Hawaii’s ideals of volunteering and giving back to the community. Rein staff members are always present at each service project. All staff members attend our professional training workshops where the emphasis is placed on the safety and well being of our teenagers. All staff are certified in Basic First Aid and CPR.
Transportation
Rein Project Hawaii uses bus transportation with professional drivers to transfer our participants to their various projects, activities, and weekend excursions.
Activities
After volunteering each day, enjoy different late afternoon activities including relaxing at the hotel pool, walking or jogging along the trails of nearby Liliuokalani Japanese Gardens, or using the wifi in the lobby to catch up with family and friends. Afternoon fun also includes local field trips to the rainforest where we hike to beautiful waterfalls, exciting trips to Volcanoes National Park and Punalu’u Black Sand Beach and the local Farmers Market. The group will enjoy a fun evening activity every night, including: our authentic cultural immersion program two nights each week, a night at the movies, Rein’s famous Minute to Win It competition, and lots of other fun local evening activities. On our weekend excursions, activities include snorkeling, surfing lessons, trips to Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head, etc.
Communication
The Rein Communication Center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the program. Teenagers are permitted to bring cell phones and the lobby of our hotel is equipped with wifi.

Project Ecuador, The Amazon & Galapagos Islands

The Project Ecuador program accommodates up to 26 participants, which fosters expanded social interactions and friendships within the group during all of our activities.
Accommodations
During the Project Ecuador program, our participants stay in safe, secure, and centrally located hotels and lodges that reflect the local character of each part of the country that we visit. All of our accommodations provide amenities and facilities that allow for comfort and a good night’s sleep.
Meals
While in Quito, our group enjoys the great full breakfast buffet at the JW Marriott, and lunch and dinner are eaten at various restaurants throughout the city. While in the Amazon, we eat our meals in the lodges’ restaurants, with the option of always sampling the local cuisine. In the Galapagos Islands, we eat breakfast and dinner (served family-style) at our hotel, and lunch is enjoyed while on our daily excursions throughout the islands. No matter where we are, there is always an option for every type of diet.
Staff
Our staff members are teachers and graduate school students who are committed to Project Ecuador’s ideals of volunteering, exploring, and learning from different cultures. Rein Community Service staff members are always present at each service site. All staff members attend our professional training workshops where the emphasis is placed on the safety and well-being of our teenage participants. Program leaders are trained in Basic First Aid and CPR. All service sites are additionally staffed by local bi-lingual volunteer coordinators.
Transportation
While in Quito and the Amazon, Project Ecuador uses professionally driven buses and vans to transport our participants to their various projects and activities. The flights between Quito and the Galapagos Islands are on regularly scheduled, full-size jet planes. During the Galapagos Islands portion of the program, we utilize professionally captained charter boats to explore the islands.
Communication
The Rein Communication Center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the program. Teenagers are permitted to bring their cell phones.

Group Size
The Project California summer community service programs accommodate up to 40 participants, which fosters expanded social interactions and friendships within the group during evening activities and weekend excursions. Depending on the specific site, each service project will consist of 5-15 participants. This enables our teenagers to benefit from small group and one-on-one interaction at the service project.
Accommodations
During the week, the University of California Santa Barbara is our home away from home. Our dorm features an incredible array of facilities, including an Olympic-size swimming pool, computer room, recreation room with pool tables and ping pong tables, floor lounges with sofas and cable television, linen service, and laundry room.
Meals
During the week, the group will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Portola Dining Commons, the dormitory dining hall. Portola is cafeteria-style, consisting of various stations with plenty of choices at each meal for all types of diets. Enjoy everything from made-to-order omelets to lasagna to delicious desserts. While traveling on weekends, breakfast and dinner are provided at our hotels and in various local restaurants.
Staff
Our summer community service staff members are teachers and graduate students who are committed to Project California’s ideals of volunteering and giving back to the global community. Rein Community Service staff members are always present at each service site. All staff members attend our professional training workshops where the emphasis is placed on the safety and well being of our teenage volunteers. Program leaders are trained in Basic First Aid and CPR.
Transportation
Rein Project California Community Service uses professionally driven buses and vans to transfer our participants to their various projects, activities and weekend excursions. There is no additional fee for transporting participants to and from the airport on arrival in California and departure from California.
Communication
The Rein Communication Center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the program. Teenagers are permitted to bring cell phones and our free wifi is available throughout our dormitory.

Hawaiian Caper

Hawaiian Caper is the ultimate summer teen tour adventure. Our journey begins as we jet to Seattle, where we’ll enjoy ice breakers as we meet all of our new friends. In Seattle, we’ll walk though Pike Place Market, go to the top of the Space Needle, rock out at MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture) and battle our friends at Whirlyball.

The action continues on our teen tour as we make two stops in Oregon. In Eugene, our teenagers will visit the University of Oregon and we’ll fly across the sand dunes along the coast on our outrageous Sandrail Dune Buggy Ride. In Medford, we’ll get soaked on our thrilling jet boat trip up and down the Rogue River.

The fun continues as we head to Lake Tahoe, where our teen tour travelers will enjoy action-packed days tubing, water skiing and wake boarding on Lake Tahoe. We have one exciting stop left before heading to Hawaii – San Francisco! Here we’ll ride the cable cars up and down the hills of the city, explore Fisherman’s Wharf, walk down Lombard Street and enjoy delicious ice cream sundaes at Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory.

Our Hawaiian Caper finally heads to the land of paradise as we jet to Maui to begin the Hawaiian leg of our summer teen tour adventure. Enjoy the beautiful pools and beach at our beach-front resort, the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. Dive 100 feet below the ocean’s surface on our out-of-this-world Submarine Trip. A great day of snorkeling awaits us as our 65-foot catamaran sails to Molokini Crater. We’ll enjoy a barbecue lunch, a fun waterslide, and superb snorkeling amongst colorful tropical fish and giant sea turtles, during our snorkel cruise adventure.

Our short jet flight takes us to the “Big Island” where we will soak up the sun at our outrageous resort. We’ll tour the Big Island, visit Volcanoes National Park and run barefoot on the Black Sand Beaches.

The last three nights of your summer teen paradise are spent on the island of Oahu, at the amazing Hyatt Waikiki in Honolulu. Visit the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center and enjoy the view from the top of Diamond Head. Professional Surfing lessons on Waikiki Beach will make the final day of our summer teen tour unforgettable!

You’ll board our regularly scheduled jet for our flight home with your new teen tour friends and unbelievable memories of your summer teen tour adventure to Hawaii and the Pacific Coast.

Costa Rica Adventure

Costa Rica Adventure introduces our teenagers to many of the highlights of this beautiful country. We will explore the magnificent mountainous interior and the palm-tree lined beaches of this slice of paradise. We begin our adventure in the vibrant city of San Jose and the beautiful lush Central Valley. We jump right into the action with a visit to one of the world’s most active craters, Poas Volcano, and make our way to the other-worldly La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

Next, we head north to the town of La Fortuna and one of Costa Rica’s must-see destinations, the Arenal Volcano. Hike to the lava rocks in Arenal National Park and spot monkeys and sloths on our excursion through the rainforest on the famous Hanging Bridges. Sit back and relax in soothing natural hot springs after our exhilarating waterfall rappelling adventure. Our journey continues to our next stop, magical Monteverde, home to mysterious cloud forests and jaw-dropping natural beauty. Get psyched for our exciting zip-line tour as you cruise from tree-top to tree-top!

Next up is Rincon de la Vieja, home to the awesome Jungle Water Slide, exciting canopy tours, and bubbling volcanic mud baths. After a stop in Palo Verde National Park, we continue to the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean and Playa Tamarindo, home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. It’s time to “hang ten” during our professional surf lessons and enjoy the gorgeous sunset during our catamaran cruise.

The adventure continues as we head to the Central Pacific Coast. We’ll drive to postcard-perfect Playa Herradura for an incredible snorkel cruise to pristine Isla Tortuga. Manuel Antonio National Park is next, famous for its magnificent beaches, teeming wildlife, and unspoiled rainforests. Grab your paddle and get ready for our thrilling white-water rafting trip on the Rio Savegre.

We’ll head back to San Jose for our farewell dinner as we reminisce with our new friends about our incredible summer memories and awesome experiences on Costa Rica Adventure.

Adventure Thailand

During Adventure Thailand, our group stays in safe, secure, and centrally located hotels that reflect the local character and culture of each part of Thailand and Cambodia that we visit. All of our accommodations provide amenities and facilities that allow for comfort and a good night’s sleep.
Meals
Throughout Adventure Thailand we will enjoy the local cuisine in these culturally rich locations. Thai meals are known for their amazing complexity, combining sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy ingredients, with each part of Thailand being known for its own local style. In Cambodia we will be introduced to Khmer food, which traditionally consists of contrasting flavors, textures, and temperatures along with herbs, vegetables, and dipping sauces. Sometimes comfort food is just what you need, so we will also have the opportunity to dine at Western-style restaurants during the program. Enjoy breakfast at our various hotels and lunch and dinner in local restaurants.

Transportation
Adventure Thailand uses professionally driven vans and buses to transfer our participants to their various projects and activities. All internal flights in Thailand and between Thailand and Cambodia are on regularly scheduled commercial jets.

The Rein Communication Center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the program. Teenagers are permitted to bring their cell phones and can use wifi when available.

California Caper

Your California Caper teen tour begins as we jet to Salt Lake City and spend nine days in the picturesque Southwestern United States. Teen travelers enjoy the breathtaking scenery at Bryce Canyon National Park. From Bright Angel Point we’ll view the most spectacular Natural Wonder of the World, the Grand Canyon. Experience Sedona’s enchanted Red Rock country on our Pink Jeep Off-Road Adventure and two action packed days of entertainment in Las Vegas.

Sunny California is the next destination on your summer teen tour! Stay at our spectacular resort in San Diego, where we enjoy professional surfing lessons and visit the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Our short flight takes us to Lake Tahoe for water-skiing and tubing during our amazing beach day. The excitement keeps growing as your teen tour runs the rapids on a whitewater raft adventure. Head to San Francisco for three terrific days exploring the city by the bay. Next, we head to Los Angeles for the final stop of your California Caper teen tour. In Los Angeles, we’ll visit Universal Studios, the Hollywood Improv and Disneyland. We will have our last night party before traveling home with your new teen tour friends and summer memories from the adventure of a lifetime.
