Playa Herradura – A Tropical Getaway

After an exciting week of volunteering and adventure in La Fortuna, we escape to Playa Herradura, a breathtaking tropical paradise on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast. Our weekend retreat is the luxurious Los Sueños Marriott Ocean Resort, where we’ll unwind in sparkling pools, soak up the golden sunshine on the beach, and enjoy top-notch amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! A short drive brings us to Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most stunning natural wonders. We’ll trek through the lush jungle trails, keeping an eye out for playful monkeys, sloths, and colorful toucans, before arriving at pristine white-sand beaches framed by towering palm trees and turquoise waters. The afternoon is spent relaxing on the beach, swimming in the crystal-clear ocean, and exploring the vibrant wildlife that makes this national park world-famous.

To top off our tropical escape, we’ll head to the lively surf town of Jacó, where we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch before watching an unforgettable sunset over the Pacific Ocean. With the perfect blend of relaxation, nature, and exploration, this weekend in Playa Herradura is the ultimate way to recharge before diving back into our Costa Rican adventure!
