What’s Included?
Program tuition covers everything needed for an incredible experience, including all lodging, transportation during the tour, breakfast and dinner daily (three meals per day for community service programs and Costa Rica Adventure), all scheduled activities, equipment rentals, admissions, and gratuities.
For personal expenses, we recommend sending your teenager with a reloadable debit card or credit card. Spending money will be used for lunches, souvenirs, personal items, occasional snacks, and laundry. On average, teenagers spend approximately $200 per week on these items.Â

Packing & Laundry
To make packing stress-free, we provide a detailed packing list specific to each of our programs. We ask each participant to bring a weekâs worth of casual clothing, packed in a roller duffel bag up to 32â in length and not exceeding 50 pounds (the standard airline limit). A carry-on bag or backpack is also recommended for essentials.
Each week, our group visits a laundromat where our staff teaches participants how to do their own laundry. Rein Teen Tours provides detergent, and by the end of the summer, your teenager will have mastered this essential life skill!
Cell Phone Policy
We allow participants to bring their cell phones on tour, as they provide a level of comfort for both teenagers and their families. Additionally, cell phones help our tour leaders communicate efficiently with the group. However, we also believe in fostering meaningful social interactions, so we implement policies that limit cell phone use during meals, group activities, and travel time. This ensures that teenagers stay engaged with their surroundings, their peers, and the incredible experiences around them.Â

Visiting Relatives & Friends
We understand that having a relative or friend in one of our destinations can be exciting, and we allow teenagers to visit with approved relatives (over the age of 21) with written permission from a parent. However, overnight stays are not permitted on the evening before a travel day to ensure a smooth transition to the next part of the tour.Â
Trip Insurance
To provide peace of mind, Rein Teen Tours offers trip insurance through Travel Insured International (TII). This plan includes coverage for a full refund if you need to cancel your tour before departure, as well as a pro-rated refund and coverage for additional airfare if your teenager must leave the tour early. Trip insurance details are sent out in March, and the premium varies based on tour choice, averaging around 4% of the total trip cost plus airfare. Rein Teen Tours is committed to making every step of your teenagerâs adventure seamless, safe, and funâso you can relax knowing theyâre in great hands!
