Health History
At Rein Teen Tours, the health and well-being of our participants is a top priority. Before the summer begins, every teenager completes a health history form, ensuring that we have the necessary medical information to support them while on tour. While we require an up-to-date immunization record, a physical exam is not necessary. Our experienced office team and program directors thoroughly review each participantâs health history to ensure we are fully preparedâwhen it comes to our teensâ health, we leave no stone unturned!
Health & Medical Care on Tour

We take every precaution to keep our teenagers healthy throughout their travels. If a participant feels unwell and requires medical attention, our staff will promptly take them to a pre-designated medical facility. We work with a trusted network of local urgent care centers and hospitals to ensure prompt and professional treatment. In the event of a doctorâs visit, our tour leader will contact a parent as soon as possible. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss the treatment plan directly with the physician, and our staff will oversee all follow-up care. If a teenager needs to rest and recover, a staff member will always stay with them. Our team is CPR and first aid certified, and every tour travels with a well-stocked first aid kit and over-the-counter medications to address minor ailments.
Medication Management

Teenagers are permitted to bring both prescription and over-the-counter medications on tour. In most cases, participants will hold and manage their own medications, taking them as prescribed. However, in certain circumstances, a staff member can securely store and dispense medication if needed – parents can discuss this option with us prior to the trip.
For medications that require refrigeration, such as growth hormones or insulin, participants must bring an insulated bag with ice packs. Our hotels provide in-room refrigerators, ensuring that medication remains stored properly. While our staff will provide reminders, participants are ultimately responsible for taking their refrigerated medications as needed. Please note that Rein staff members are not permitted to administer injections, so any teenager requiring injectable medication must be able to self-administer. While we take every precaution, we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged medication, so we recommend discussing alternative options with a doctor before the trip.
Hands-On Leadership & Support Visits
Our company owners and directors regularly visit each group throughout the summer to provide on-the-ground support, check in with staff and participants, and ensure that our programs run smoothly. These visits allow us to maintain our high standards of safety, quality, and communication. Whether offering guidance to tour leaders, monitoring group dynamics, or simply engaging with our teenagers, our leadership team is always present. This proactive, hands-on approach helps create the best possible experience for every participant.
Planning for the Unexpected

Flexibility is key when it comes to travel, and our team is well-prepared to adapt to any situation. Whether adjusting plans due to weather conditions, local safety concerns, or other unforeseen events, we make real-time decisions to ensure our teenagersâ well-being. If any itinerary changes are necessary, we communicate them promptly with families, keeping parents informed every step of the way. Our summer communication system ensures that parents receive updates quickly and accurately when the unexpected occurs.
At Rein Teen Tours, âsafety firstâ isnât just a sayingâitâs a commitment. Throughout the summer, our company directors are available 24/7, monitoring every program to provide support and peace of mind. We donât sleep, so you can!
