Nestled between the sparkling Pacific Ocean and the breathtaking Santa Ynez Mountains, the University of California, Santa Barbara offers the ultimate balance of adventure, relaxation, and community. During the week, this vibrant and energetic campus becomes our home away from home, providing the perfect setting for meaningful community service, exciting activities, and lifelong friendships.
Participants will stay in modern, comfortable dormitories, with double rooms and shared private bathrooms connecting two rooms. Beyond the dorms, UCSB offers incredible amenities, including an Olympic-size swimming pool, a fully-equipped fitness center, recreation lounges with ping pong and pool tables, and cozy floor lounges with cable TV and sofas—perfect for unwinding after a fulfilling day of volunteering and fun!
Meals & Dining
Mealtimes are always a highlight at UCSB! The group will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Portola Dining Commons, the campus’s top-tier dining hall, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious, and nutritious options to satisfy every taste and dietary need. From made-to-order omelets to international cuisine and mouthwatering desserts, there’s something for everyone! On weekends, while exploring California, we’ll dine at local restaurants and enjoy meals at our hotels, giving us the chance to experience even more of the local flavors.
Campus Amenities & Free Time
When we’re not volunteering or exploring, there’s plenty of time to soak up the incredible UCSB atmosphere! The campus recreation center is packed with soccer fields, racquetball courts, weight rooms, and fitness centers for those who want to stay active. The University Center bookstore is the perfect place to pick up a UCSB hoodie, grab a snack, or simply relax and enjoy the laid-back campus vibe. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, challenging your friends to a game of ping pong, or exploring the scenic campus, UCSB offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable summer experience!
